Printer Installation Instructions for Windows

Download and Install the Printer Software 

  1. Please use the Microsoft Edge web browser

  2. Important - If you have previously installed the SON Student Printer package on your computer and have an existing printer called "SON-Student Print," we highly recommend removing this prior to continuing these steps to install the latest student printer. To do this, open "Programs and Features," select the Pharos application, and click Uninstall/Change. Leaving both printers won't harm your computer, but may create confusion since the old printer will have more limited functionality.

  3. Follow this link to download the installer

  4. Open the folder where you downloaded the file and run it (SON-StudentPrint_for_x64.exe)

  5. Depending on your operating system, you may need to give additional approval to run the file. You might see a prompt like the one below. If you do, click the More info link and then click the "Run Anyway" button.

     

  6. You should see a window like the one below. Click the Install button.

  7. The installation might take a few minutes. When complete, click the Finish button.

  8. The Printer has been installed: SON-StudentPrint
