These instructions only apply to SON Faculty and Staff as well as a few other affiliates. In most cases, the SON’s Managed Printers will automatically appear on Windows computers issued by SON IT. If you don’t see the printer you want to use listed or if you are using a Mac or a personal computer, you can follow the instructions below to manually connect to the printer.

IMPORTANT These instructions for Macs apply to new printers/copiers as they are replaced throughout the school. They will still work for old devices, but the driver you are instructed to use below will be different. Unless you know the correct driver for the old device you connect to, be sure to only create new printers for devices that are listed in the New Devices Installed/Replaced table here SON Printer Replacement Project. Additionally, if you create a connection to an old device, you may experience printing issues once the device is replaced. |
